Purpose

  • Oversee translation and dissemination of knowledge obtained from Center research
  • Collaborate with tribal communities to develop culturally-relevant strategies, program and resources that reinforce resilience to mitigate adverse health effects of environmental exposures

Aims

  • Dialogue: Equitably engage indigenous stakeholders and CIEHR members for the ethical and culturally-appropriate translation and application of findings.
  • Knowledge: Strengthen the environmental health literacy of indigenous leaders, policymakers, and community members.
  • Action: Foster community resilience to promote environmental health.
  • Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of CEC activities to the CIEHR mission.
